Nicki Coffman
- Clery Compliance Specialist
Nicki serves as the Clery Compliance Specialist for Baylor University. Prior to joining Baylor, she served as a police officer with the Waco Police Department for more than nine years. Following her career in law enforcement, she worked as a Special Investigator for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Nicki holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and continues to maintain her Texas Peace Officer License. Throughout her career, she has been honored with a Medal of Valor, two Lifesaving Bars, and multiple Meritorious Unit Awards. While she is grateful for these recognitions, she considers her greatest accomplishments to be the opportunities she has had to serve the City of Waco and surrounding communities by helping others during difficult moments in their lives.
At Baylor University, Nicki utilizes her extensive law enforcement and investigative background to support the institution’s Clery Act compliance efforts. Her work includes reviewing and classifying reported incidents, maintaining accurate crime statistics, coordinating data collection across multiple departments, and helping ensure the university remains compliant with federal reporting requirements. She also provides Clery Act education and training to the Baylor community, helping faculty, staff, and student leaders better understand campus safety reporting responsibilities. Through collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to transparency, Nicki plays an important role in promoting campus safety awareness and supporting Baylor’s mission of fostering a secure and informed community.
